sunroof lubrication

ok so if you remember my sunroof track was jacked up.
i got another one from the junkyard last week. i was wondering what chemicals to clean it out and lube it, like degrease and wd40 or what?

and when i pulled rails out of the car from the junkyard i pulled the whole roof pan from the inside of the car. can i just put the new rails in through the top right?

WD40 will eventually dry up being its a liquid based lubrication. I would use thicker grease in the track, something that's going to last a good while. You could probably go to any auto parts store and ask them and they'll show you something good. Should be fairly cheap too.
