Lightbulb Just installed new LEDs in gauges.

Just finished my install with my new LED's for my gauge cluster. Was pretty easy to do. Got the cluster out in like 20 mins, put it back together in like 10-15 after installing bulbs lol. Took a total of 3 bulbs for the gauge lighting, and 1 bulb for the oil pressure/voltage gauge to the right of it. I went with the "Natural White" color. They're 220 degree wide angle LED's, bought them from www.superbrightleds.com hella good deal, only cost me $24 for 5 of them after shipping. Took like 3 days to get them. They're 194 bulbs.

ANYWAY, here's the pictures! They turned out nicer looking then the picture shows, but you get the idea. It's pretty much perfect brightness!

You replace the three ones in left middle and right that are odd green colored.

The finished product! I can actually see everything now. haha. Really brightens up the gauges. Full color now.

Does anybody know how to get the climate control out to replace those bulbs, or know what bulbs they take?

Thanks. Yeah it turned out great! Better than the pictures can show. Just thought I'd post this for anybody else wanting to do it. Any questions just ask.

Not sure if this helps or not... but looking at the shop manual for my '90 SR5 coupe to remove the heater control remove the four screws (found at each four corners). Remove the heater control and let it hang down.

Not finding anything else... I will keep looking.

I removed those 4 screws but the thing wouldn't budge. Maybe I need to remove my radio first and try it, I think I'll be able to get it that way. I was hoping it would pull out enough to grab the bulb socket behind it. Hmmm thanks I'll mess with it later!

i tried to mess with those bulbs in my 88 toyota pickup when i took my dash apart. the heater/ac control is the same style and layout in my truck as the corolla coupe. I was able to get to the back of it in my truck and check it out. but i think you have to take the back of it apart just to get to the bulbs..

I got all my info in the forum under "2nd generation" 05-10 Tacomas. Hope that helps. They should be close as far as getting the cluster out. Good luck!

YES, you can pull the bulb from behind when the stereo is out! From the tutorial posted you know which wire to pull on. I replaced mine with a single forward firing SMT LED from this place: http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/G...81066-1-2.html

I probably should have used one with three LEDs, but as you can kind of see the light spreader thingy does its job!
