Hello All,
I can get a great deal on a set of 15" rims and tires. I have read on here about possible fitment issues with the rear struts or backing plates.
What would be the optimal backspace/offset I would need to fit 15" rims and 195/50R15 tires on my 1990 Corolla GT-S?
Thanks in advance,
Tye

Yeah mine are 195/50/15 with 7in wide rims, at +35 offset and it fits perfectly. a lot of wheels will be at +40 offset which I believe may be too high.
my wheels are 15x6.5 40mm offset and 195/50-15s and I used them on the back without problems... if they were 15x7 with that offset I would've had problems... I used a spacer on the back (2mm I think) either way and fit fine, the front didn't need a spacer.
I also ran 15x7 with 35mm offset without problems.
the last set I almost ran before selling my car... 16x7.5 with 10mm offset.
Was thinking of these wheels with the specs below. Whatcha think?
15"x6.5", +38 offset, 5 1/4 backspace

Looks like what I have on my GT-S, "MB"s ?
I painted mine. This is what they looked like when I got them. They didn't have them in "gun metal grey" then. Got mine fom Discount Tire.
