i'm thinking about getting rid of my hood scoop

i have a gze hood and im thinking about getting rid of it. the look of the hood scoop is kinda getting old. especially with no power to back up the look of having the gze hood scoop.

i have 2 idea's.
harder idea is finding a na hood and buying that only.
or i can take the scoop of go to a body shop and have them weld the scoop cut out shut.

orrrrrrrrrrr maybe someone has a na levin hood that wants to trade with me.

reason being is atm i came to the conclusion that i dont want to spend anymore money on this car. nor advance the car to the point i want. all i can do is keep it as is, maybe fix the body and keep the car simple. i cannot afford to fix an engine that would blow from a turbo conversion as i had hope. things change in peoples lives i guess and this is one of the things that i have to cut back some on. so instead of building some crazy turbo ae92 that i had hoped. it would prob be more cost effective at this point in my life to keep it na (stock maybe street cams) and fix the body up a little. atlest this way the car will be a decently nice ride and be fun.

Too bad, I was watching out for this one. Just take small steps in time it will come together. I remember your old ae92 and what you did to that, was beautiful.

finally got done painting and wetsanding it. i think it turned out pretty good considering two guys (myself and a buddy) who has no painting experiance what so ever outside of spray cans, painted the car in his garage. lucky for me my buddy is a detail expert so the wet sanding and buffing made a crappy paint job turn out to be a decent one.

btw im selling the hood scoop i had on it for $60 if anyone is interested. sorry if i dont reply right away, during this season im usually busy fixing onter people's cars or prepping the corolla for the next autocross event.

Wetsanding and stuff after a paintjob is a standard. Every pro body shop do it. Nice job!

Wish I didn't bought my hoodscoop yet, I got it last year... for double...

damn... I like the no scoop look, but I like the scoop even more... makes the car look closer to it's roots.

Especially the Levin, you can't have a Levin Front without the scoop.

yea i like the hood scoop too, but i also like it without lol. i guess the reason i deleted it was the fact of no supercharger ; ;. i dont like to be a poser, i do plan to keep adding more to this car, but with a kid on the way it's gonna be a slowwwwwwwwwwwwwww proccess. i have no problem having fun with it the way it is. lmao the one thing i do regret was being cheap and getting one of those F1 stage 2 clutch's from ebay. that clutch kinda kills the enjoyment of driving the car a little, due to the pedal feel being super soft and it seems the engagement point for the clutch is always different. ill probabally just end up replacing that with a stock toyota clutch. there are 2 wishful swaps i wanna do. 1. beams 3sge (more realistically a 3rd gen 3sge since a buddy has one in his mr2 and is planning on going 3rd gen turbo) or 2. 2zz-ge. however since the car isnt my priority atm the more realistically thing to happen are cams, only ones i've found that compelement the stock engine is colt cams and pon/tomei cams. which cost as much as the initial cost of a different engine swap.

depending on what i do, im tuning the car with two theorys in mind. 1. practical and 2. light tune/fun, but i have been know by friends to get carried away. btw i changed my mind from the 1st post lol.
