Canada Wiring Help Needed with Power Hatch

I am trying to install in my Front Wheel Drive Japan built Corolla DX (1991) a power lock/unlock center console switch from a Corolla Alltrac Wagon 1989 Japan built. I do not want to go through the Toyota wiring system and hack in and try and splice as I may make things go bad. Trust me I CAN manage that! IS there an easy connection I can make using the auto battery, a bosh 4 or 5 pin electrical unit to plug into the wires of the console control lock & unlock button and get this working? I really would appreciate the help I have given as much detail as I can, OH There are 4 wires @ the switch 1 power (white w red stripe) 1 ground (White with Black stripe) and 1 Red and 1 Blue Wire to the rear, I can sort of read the diagram but it just adds to my confusion, which is why I am asking for an easier solution. Donor Car is now gone so I can't get any more bits from it. Thanks in advance I do appreciate any advice and will post photos of my attempt. I might need help with that too! I have swapped in intermittent wipers from an new Camry and that was easy. It was just a change of the switch and circuit board and a small trim of the plastic on the wiper switch to shaft plastic panel

Good luck... I wish my All-Trac wagon had a remote hatch opener!
