Ok guys if you have read my build thread you kno that Im going to swap out my 1st gen 4AFE for a 7AFE now I kno the way to tell the 1st gen 4AFE from the 2nd gen is the location of the injectors(head in the 1st vs. intake mani 2nd) but what are some easy ways to tell a 2nd gen 4AFE from the 7AFE

other than the label on the block the 7as have an aluminum spacer before the oilpan or basically a two piece oil pan

7a block shows aluminum windage tray/spacer and oilpan


4a pan(sorry no better pic)


guess if u cant see then you can feel by hand
also the block tag is not far down from the head, by the transmission, on the exhaust side
