90 gts a/c

It's a little early for me to be thinking about A/C, but I was wondering if my 1990 Corolla GTS's A/C system R12 or 134a in it's system?

Not real sure about Canada, but here in the US, all cars after 1994 were required to have R134 systems. The 1990 Corolla would have R12 in it unless it has been converted to R134.

Yea, R12 unless it's been converted by the previous owner.

Usually when a car has been taken to a shop to have it converted, there should be a sticker applied by the shop under the hood indicating the A/C system has been converted from R12 to R134A. Also, there would be R134A adapters on the A/C ports.

Dang, do not see any stickers indicating R134A, so I'll assume there is R12 in there.
If the system is evacuated properly, is the conversion process something that a person could do themselves? Are there kits available for this on-line?
Thanks,

Tye
