i wanna do egr delete on my 89 wagon what do i do

I'm pretty sure you can just take the EGR valve off and make a metal plate that's the same size to bolt on and block the holes.

I was going to do this on my 4A-F, but then my engine blew...

I'm still using the original EGR on my 4AF. I took it off one time, boi o boi, black rocks! I'm sure it's stuck now even though I cleaned it and it still functioned.

Yea black rocks... Chunks of built up carbon. I didn't notice any difference after cleaning it out.

Mine has it too and it isn't California spec. Just like the 4age at that time had emissions crap on it here that it didn't have everywhere else. North America was just more strict than a lot of other places for emissions.

Block the holes, definately the vacuum line.
