suspension issue with aftermarket springs AE92 sr5

It's been a looong time since my last post in TN, but with my RX-7 in the body shop and then paint shop for a while, I've gone back to Toyota, this time my daily driver.
My goal is an alternate show car to my RX-7. I have a 1989 SR-5 (4af). great condition besides the usual worn stuff, like brakes and struts, etc. but only 106k miles.
I also have regained ownership of my brother's old 89 GT-S, although, the silvertop in it is blown (idiot ran out of oil... really now? don't check oil levels?). But that said, I have a readily available source of many many parts now

OK Anyways, one of the things I got from the donor car was a set of B&G lowering springs. I had seen a couple pictures of these springs on the sport coupe and I thought the car looked great. However, when I installed mine (albeit on new OEM-style struts, not performance yet), the stance is weird. It's supposed to be a level 1.6" drop to both front and back but the front is dipping down much lower, and this is causing some serious ground clearance issues.

How can I level the car back out? Do I just have to wait until I get some more money and buy different lowering springs (and if so, FS B&G drop springs! lol)? Could I try making some custom strut spacers in a machine shop? Ideas and advice appreciated!

sorry for the long post, but good to be back at TN. AE92 is not my area of expertise!

oh and pictures can be put up tomorrow, once sun is back out

Cut them. lol.

Other than that, probably gonna have to go with a coilover set up to get a level height. However, 93-97 suspension will work but from the car, you need:

Struts
springs
rear top hats

Pretty sure front stock top hats work. The dropzone lowering kit on ebay has a nice drop and its level.

well, I may just have to get different springs for mine then. I know Eibach is supposed to be 1.1 rear and 1.3 front drop but it looks about right (friend has them installed). Can anyone offer experience with other spring sets for this car?

this is how the car looks now (on stock rims, new ones come in on monday!)
i know it's a little dark, as I was walking into work this morning, but it's a high res so you can zoom in if you can't really see the wheel gaps
If I had specifically bought springs that advertised that they did this, I would have stayed at a milder drop. Which is probably what I will end up buying now, a smaller drop

Yeah... that's just how the B+G springs sit... I would get rid of them. even if you get new struts, they'll just blow the front struts from being so low. (I blew a new set of KYB GR2s in 6 months)

I had a set of B+Gs and then moved to APEX springs which are a lot better. I then started autocrossing my corolla and went with a set of Ground control coilover sleeves.

If this is going to be a show car I would probably just get a set of coilovers so you can get the stance just right, but keep in mind there aren't very many aftermarket parts for these cars, so making a show car out of one will be difficult.

if you actually want a nice suspension, I would go with either ground controls or JIC or tein coilovers.

well its a daily/alternate show car. For times like now when my FC isn't available.
I have a TE72 that I gave to my dad. Body wasn't the greatest but it would still place in a few local shows just off sheer performance mods (the engine is beast on that lol).
I am going to remove the B&Gs whenever I get my hands on something else, I'm a bit strapped for cash right now, but figure i can try to get 100 for my used B&Gs and get a milder drop spring set for the time being until I can get coilovers. I've heard a lot about Ground Control and have read a lot about them after having run into this problem lol.

Off topic, but my plans for the car. It will end up Two-Tone, red and black. The Hood/Trunk with Spoiler (Already on my car)/Side skirts and misc. stuff are being moved over from the blown GTS and painted Black, on days I actually have time to work on it. Eventual plans are to try to light sand and then polish the red paint to try to get a little shine; no money for a brand new red paint job at the moment. My new rims coming in are mostly black, with machined front, and red under-stripe (Konig Zero-Ins). Going to re-do the exhaust to 2" with a header and a quieter performance muffler (not straight through, probably a "turbo" style muffler), keeping everything 2" with like a 2.25" tip. going to spruce up the engine bay a bit, move over the strut tower brace with the GTS as well. Basically have the car with a nice, very clean makeover. Perfect for Import Mild class in local shows. My FC is for bigger shows
