92 corolla bogs wen cold!

Okay I jus notice this problem recently when I was goin to work around 430am, when I accelerate it would start bogging like if I hit the rev limiter around 3k to 4k rpm! Wen it warms up it runs fine and I jus change the spark plugs recently n I check the rotor cap for cracks n stuff but theres none thanks in advance

AE92

Check to see if there's a vacuum leak somewhere. There is two or three vacuum lines going to the distributor. Or you need to re-adjust the distributor a bit.

Check all the plug wires at the plugs and cap are on tight.

No vac advance unit on distribuotor of a fuel injected (4AFE) in 92 Corolla. There are other vac lines however that could leak. Could also be cold start injector or IAC valve that raises idle speed to prevent stalling when cold.

Either a vacuum leak or early stages of ignitor failure in the distributor.

I had almost the same problem, turns out my thermostat was stuck open so the car had a hard time getting up to temp so it would bog down just like you are describing.
Only difference is mine is a 4AF carb.

There are vac sensors (thermal switches) on 4AFE and a thermostat acting up could be added to the list of things to check for the driveablility issues.
