Getting Sponsored - Where and how?

Being the poor, humble bastard that I am - I was wondering if anyone knows of companies or programs looking for people to flaunt their brand/gear/etc at shows and races and whatnot...

I know there's those MILLIONS of sites that "sponsor you" for a fee. Sponsoring in their language equaling a decal and a DVD or something... F that noise.

So yeah, if anyone knows of a legitimate avenue for getting free/discount parts in return for throwing big-ass stickers (because stickers increase aerodynamics...ask NFS Underground) let me know!

Holler at you boy, gangster.

I used to work at a transmission shop but they moved out of my possible transportation area for work, I talked to them about getting sponsored by them for free gear oil and the use of their facilities(presses, fly wheel machine, etc). Just need a sponsor for free engine oil, a sponsor for brake parts, and a machine shop sponsor, and ill be set.

shoot last year i was unemplyed and this year seems the same.... california is hard atm.... but i have worked at pepboys, autozone and napa in the past... i tell you one thing, customers are so much more intense in the car world, because everyone is a mechanic and no one wants to buy the proper parts, and then they come back wondering why i gave them the wrong part, when they wanted a fuel pump for a chevy for their civic and it didnt work when they spliced the crap outta it and i wont refund or exchange them...
