mysterious white wire?

im doing a 4af to 4afe swap. when i put all my wiring back togeather on my corolla with the exception of pluging in the computer. my head lights where the only thing in the car to work. so after checking all my fuses i tried pluging in the 4af harness into the dash and the chim my blinkers every thin came on. so i started un pluging plus one at a time. every thing worked untill i unpluged a fat white wire. when i pluged it back in every thing else worked. my question is is this a ground or a positive wire? how many amps does it need if it is please help.

p.s. if some one will tell me how to upload a picture from my computer ill post a pic of the wire

Don't know if will help but here is a wiring diagram for 90 corolla. There are two large white wires that originates at the relay box (hooked to battery positive cable) . One goes to alternator another eventually feeds into passenger compartment through the fuse box under passenger kick panel.

Figure 5 shows the ecu wiring. Looks like there are at least two white wires on that harness.

Sedan or coupe? I got my motor to run, but no lights. No tails, no headlights, no blinkers, no nothing. But my dome light works, and my brake lights. Car starts and runs fine. Sedan fuse box in a coupe. I think I need the coupe fuse box/headlight relays.

Toyota uses both black (with red lines) and white wires for power.... mostly likely it's the main power wire for the chasis end of the harness.

get a volt meter and check it.
