Gen6 1990 Corolla All Trac Sedan

So, i was wondering, how strong are rear ends of the all trac sedans?

Dont' know if this helps or not, but I believe they are basically the same as AE86 rear ends.

I think they're closer to SR5 rear ends, not really a "RWD" rear end I believe.

I guess it depends. What do you want to do with it?

Do you mean the rear diff? It would seem to be tough enough to handle a 4AGZE.

Hrm.... im not too sure about the rear ends... but then again, get it weilded and try out some donuts for like 20mins... then once you figured how strong it is, please post it... id like to know as well.. lol jk but that is a good question... id always wanted a AWD sedan... id just heard its too hard to find suspension parts for it... i dont like how the springs sit on perchs and not over the struts... too much problems with various cars like my ae86, mk2 supra, ra65 celica and my good old te72 corolla... they are a pain to look for nice springs to put there... especially the ra65 celica and mk2 supra... i guess no one wanted to make parts and sell them here in SoCal...

Someone told me that the alltrac sedans may have the same suspension as one of the rally celicas. Is this true or just some tomfoolery??

Not the same. celica all-tracs have independent rear suspensions. I was under the belief that they only made corolla sedan all-tracs one year, 1989. Also, the 4agze supercharger occupies the same space/location as the mechanical center differential vacuum locker on the corolla all-tracs.

I think a guy named Kebin (from Australia) replaced the vacuum actuator with an electrical actuator in order to fit a 4AGZE into his AE95...
