I have an 89 Gts and I have the obx header on it, The EGR I just bend a bit till it lined up. My car also needed an o2 sensor for my etest, I got this one

http://www.alloxygensensors.com/Shop...LA+GTS&mode=PA

The bottom Denso one is the correct one, Price has gone up since I got one tho. Was $138 then I purchased one, but it works perfect. And yes your car should run with the EGR disconnected, but you should find a way to leave it connected.

oh and yes my o2 Sensor did not fit in the OBX down pipe, Had to drill the holes out a bit till it fit, But it works.

as i stand here cooking teriyaki chicken at my job im noticing how stupid my autospell is on my phone... and also that maybe my friend put the dizzy in wrong so the timing is way off. i wanted to add that there is a strong gas smell coming from the car. which i think means the spark is way off and not igniting it

Yah I would definitely check that dizzy, mine was hard to time correctly and would explain why your car isn't running.

would it explain the intense gas smell?

Yes, if your dizzy is improperly timed your engine can run rich, meaning a lot of fuel is not being burned.

Made no ground? meaning your car still isn't running? or is running rich with a noticeable gas smell?Do you know how to time a dizzy when you pull it out?

Well in case you don't know, the engine must be at TDC (Top Dead Center)and then the dizzy timing mark must also be at its highest point and then you need to slide it in. if it moves even slightly left or right, chances are its jumped one tooth and has been timed incorrectly, at least this was true when mine was being done.

Hope this helps
