new exhaust needed

Other than stock replacement parts any recomendations? I might look for a shop to bend up a system. Midas always seemed overpriced to me.

I will need to replace my exhaust system before my next inspection. The inspector does not do exhaust sampling so I could get away with an empty cat and maybe even a test pipe.

Here's what I made with 2.25" mandrel bends I purchased, cut and welded together. The "resonator" is a Thrush glasspack and the muffler is a Cherry Bomb turbo style muffler. I can try to figure out how to record the sound if you like. IMHO it sounds pretty good. You can price everything out at Summit Racing. That's where I bought everything. Wasn't cheap but wasn't expensive.

I'd have to borrow a welder. to many connections to clamp up. Probably cheaper than a full cat back system.

Yea, definitely need to weld it together. Welding certainly comes in handy alot. Especially with old cars.

Here's a approximate breakdown:

3 - Mandrel U-Bends $19 ea = $57
1 - Cherry Bomb turbo muffler = $21
1 - Thrush Glasspack = $27
1 - Walmart SS exhaust tip = $10
Other various pieces = $30
Total $145 (could have been a little more, it was a little while ago and I don't remember)
