Need some electrical suggestions and help!

Ok so last night I was getting pissed cause my passenger side HID wasn't turnin on. I was about to rip out the bulb and crush it until I found out the headlight connector was cut from one of the wires! So I put it back together, and flipped the lights on and bam! But the question I have , since there are 3 wires, what are the wire colors for ? I know there's a red/ yellow wire and a red/ black and another, what wires are what? One has to be ground one has to be high beam and one is low beam!

Also! I have foglight LED bulbs, it's an h3 bulb, I have it to the fuse box as a power source and connected to a switch just in case I want to turn it off other than that it's always on. well I want to put HIDs on it soon, but I want to know where else would be a good place as a power source ? I really wouldn't like to use the battery cause I would have to keep flipping the switch. Also since I'm used to not turning off the switch since the fuse turns off, I'm afraid they would drain my battery. Or what could I do to connect it and make it turn off by itself!

Thanks TN!

Thanks jealous douchebag! That was very useless information! I can see you have no knowledge of that sort of information.

has nothing to do with jealousy, cars ghettofitted with hid are fking gay

for the fog lights get a relay(5 pin or normally open), wire the 85 pin to 12v when ignition on, pin 86 to ground, pin 30 to a battery source, then 87 to fogs

you could essentially use the wires you have going through the switch to go through pins 30 and 87

you could put pin 85 in parallel with the headlights(instead of ignition on 12v) so the fogs are only on when headlights are if you dont want them to always be on with ignition on

Wow, no need for the name calling in this thread. Honestly HIDs in halogen housings are not a good idea in the least, it just can be said in a better way, rickytan456. Also, please don't use gay as an adjective, canadianae92, its just insensitive and immature sounding. In general HID conversions like this are very blinding and coming from someone who lives in an area where they are everywhere I am constantly blinded in my Celica.

On to topic, the relay layout that canadian suggested is a very good route to follow.

The HIDs in my headlights are pointed down. Let's say the headlight notmally points out at 180 degree angle. Ok I used the headlight adjustment screws to point it lower so let's say it's at 150 degrees. Plus the car is lower than normal. They help visibility but they don't blind. I never see my own headlights in the rear view mirror of the car in front. Someone even told me I had fake HiD lights -_- lol but I like it and really don't care much what y'all have to say about them.

Anyway yeah I researched relays and I'm getting the 5 pin from oznium.com with the wires included. only a total of $6 shipping is $4.20 so I might as well pick up a few items I needed maybe some resistors and LEDs to make something custom. Thanks for the info you guys! Relay info helped
