New guy, I admit, I am not a mechanic

Whats up everyone, my name is Jeremy and I just wanted to introduce myself here before I ask a very stupid question. (Warning - I do not know any mechanical terms so please bare with me)

I am changing an alt soon on a 90 auto dx. I just need to know where the plugs that come out from the side of the valve cover above the timing belt go to. I know two goes on the alt, the black plug thingy (lol) and the round metal clip but I dont know where the rest go. Any pictures would help.

Thanks again for baring with me

why does it matter where they go? you just unplug the wires from the alternator and plug them into the new one...

some go to the AC compressor, o2 sensor, and oil pressure sender. probably other stuff.

Well looking at the car, the wires are all not connected, including the two for the alt. I need to know where they go.

well sorry it took so long... i was pretty busy today... but yeah i got the pics up now.

here is the engine:

as you can see how the thick wire goes to the back of the altenator, a little shorter wire goes to the side of the altenator and the long small wire goes to the ac compressor:

here is a closer shot of the altenator with some lighting on it, so you can better see the wires of the thick ones and the small ones from the long small one that goes to the ac compressor:

I hope this helps out man, and i understand you just got a nice cheap car to commute with, this car is awesome and i have always loved it since i got it... if you need anymore help, just post up and ill try my best to answer them and help. good luck on your corolla man.
