AE92 Modified Corolla 1600 16v 4AF Carb Engine

Good day

I am new to this site but after reading a few post i decide to join Toyota Nation.I own a Corolla 92 model 1600 16v 4AF with carburetor. After overheating problems i had the engine done completely. New pistons 20 oversize, free flow exhaust(standard) K&N air filter ext. One problem is after the engine overhaul my compression sky rocket (13.5 - 14 bar per cylinder) with a few problems. Since then i had a very big problem with pinging so bad that i had to change spark plugs to a racing plug, i use a octane booster in the petrol to boost it to 104 octane petrol and i change my cam pulley to a vernier cam pulley. After all that changes the pinging was under control. It goes very nice and get to top speed very quickly but use a lot of juice. I decided to put on some modified 276 cams and take it for a complete dyno after that. Can some of you people maybe give me some more info and also what do you think of the cams. Thanks a lot

There are not very much available for the 4af engine. As for the cams i understand that you take the 7 afe Cams with bigger lobes and then you will need to regrind that to what size you want.
