Canada How do disable a '91 Corolla

I was curious how one would go about disabling a car in a secretive way, without actually ruining the car? I would like to disable it so that someone who is relatively car savvy (not a mechanic by any means) would not be able to see what has disabled it from a quick look-over of the car. Basically, this is to get me out of a rather pointless outing . Any of your wise sage advice would be appreciated.

that or open the hood, go to the fusebox and take out the efi relay. your car will turn over but will not fire nor start.

what I've done with our cars is find the efi fuse, blow it, and put it back.

engine will crank but never start... the fact that the fuse is still there doesn't quickly indicate that there's a problem like one that's missing.

how to blow a fuse? Just connect one side of a blade to the pos and the other side to the neg of a battery.

i agree with the EFI fuse, or pull one of the wires that goes to the distributor and kinda leave it in there, a friend did that to me and it took an hour to figure out what the hell was going on. all it will do is just turn over.

if you're talking about your corolla.....

#1 your coil is internal to the dizzy.... so you can't pull the coil wire

#2 if you pull just 1 spark plug wire, the engine SHOULD run on 3 cylinders.... not happy, but it should

#3 Toyota ignition systems are stout.... they can jump a pretty darn big gap.... if the wire was just close by it should still jump the gap and get spark to the plug....
