If it just click once while you're holding the key to start, then it's likely a ground. If the starter continuously clicks or does nothing (no sound), it could be a bad ground, battery or starter.

Check the battery. Batteries can sometime short on the inside and that can throw everything off.

For the hood latch, it may have damaged the spring to latch it. You can find the same corolla in any junkyards, so I guess you can easily get a replacement there. I'm not sure if there's an adjustment on the latch. If there is, maybe the hood just knocked the adjustment off. I know there are those two rubber contacts on the sides.

For the starter could be solenoid contacts that are worn out. Clean up the batttery terminals/cables with wire brush to make sure have a good enough connection. The starter draws alot of amps and a mediocre connection would operate lights/ etc but not crank the starter. Also can try giving starter a good hit while key in start position. Sometimes that jarring springs it to life. For hood try spraying mechanism with wd40. The latch mechanism is designed to be ajusted up and down (two bolts). Loosen the bolts and move it upward slightly. When it slammed could have moved down enough so that it can't engage .

When you try to start, it draws power from the battery which would eventually go dead.

The battery may have a dead cell which would explain why it won't take a jump. Pull battery and take to advance or autozone to be checked. If you have to replace it take car back later to get charge system checked. Clean up battery terminals and cables first to rule that out. I have found the slightest bit of corrosion keeps mine from starting.
