Stabilizer Link

I'm trying to remove the rear struts in my 1990 toyota corolla sr5 and ive disconnected the brake lines and im trying to take off the stabilizer link from the rear strut... i've been trying to take off the bolt but when i the bolt all it does is spin and ive taken a pair of vicescripts to hold it inplace as i undo the nut but you only get a few turns before the vicescripts slip off is there any easy way to take off the stabilizer link from the strut without having to break it off and replace it??

Yea I think there is a hex shaped socket on the end of the stud that you use an allen wrench in. That holds the stud while you turn the nut with an open end or box wrench.
