@ eberbs: Thank you very much as your idea got my mind going!! I had my car not running for 2 days already bc i was stumped and wasnt gona cave in. I took off the caliper slide pins and removed the bolt you mentioned where the rubber connects and pulled out the caliper assembly. The bolt hole looked good and the bolt was previously cleaned when i removed it however i took out the bleeder screw and put brake fluid in the hole and i saw fluid pool up instead of go down and out the bolt hole..i picked in the bleeder screw hole bc it looked rusty in there and surely enough after a second or 2 the brake fluid went inside and out the bolt hole! Boy was i happy to see that! I bled up my baby and out went the air bubbles and gunk and rust in the caliper!! Ha such a simple thing as cleaning solved my car woes!
@ rdyzz: I knew something was up with the caliper...im a college student and just paid tuition plus books for the semester plus bills paying for 4 struts and the brake hoses and was considering the reman caliper but i said mmmm money is tight even at $36.99 for the caliper but i guess ill have to buy it but then i said wait a minute...my car is old yet ive seen calipers never been remanufactured on older Toyotas with much more abusive driving habits than i so i gave one last try to repairing my caliper...Thankfully i didnt need to buy it but thank you for the idea anyways i will keep that in mind for future reference when i have more $$ and dont wanna deal with rebuilding a caliper
