Starter??

OK. My sons 90 Corolla. Will not start. Just clicks. No voltage drops when starter is operated. Unhook small wire to solenoid & while cranking get 11.95 volts. Have 12 volts at big wire on starter. That eliminates all other relays, nuetural safty switch whatever. Correct? Has to be the starter since when cranking you can hear & feel the solenoid kicking in. Am I thinking correct on this? Am I missing anything? Thanks.

Pat

Yea, that is a common toyota starter problem. You can replace the starter or other people have bought and replaced the contacts inside the starter which seems to be the cause of the problem.

+1

Replace the copper contacts in the solenoid, clean the circular contact on the plunger and you'll be good to go.
