AC motor

so, its hot outside, and it seems the ac blower inside my car has stopped working. i know the ac compressor works because i can here it kick on and when i have the air flow set to "fresh", i can feel cold air coming in, just not being forced out by the fan.

so i was wondering, where is the ac blower and what should i do.

ITS HOT OUTSIDE!!! yes, im in phoenix by the way.

I had my blower motor stop working and it turns out the blower motor itself was bad and i replaced it with a used one.
But most commonly it is the blower motor resistor witch is located to the lower left of the blower motor (the blower motor is behind the glove box) and the resistor has a 4 prong plug on it and there is one screw to remove it (when removed it has about 3-4 springs on it, if any of the springs are broken then it is bad).
If the resistor looks good then i would drop the blower motor out (4 screws on the bottom) and spin it with your hand and see if it spins easily.

Are all the blower speeds not working?

Yes - It may be the motor, fuse, blower switch, etc.
No - It is most likely the blower resistor.

Another possibility to add to the other suggestions is the tripping of the circuit breaker for the fan. Remove passenger kick panel. The circuit breaker has a hole in the top to insert a small screwdriver and press in if it has tripped for whatever reason.

okay, so i changed out the resistor because it was nasty dirty and covered with dust and other s***. i took the motor out and it worked when i took it out and was holding it with the blower fan facing down. but when i put the motor and blower back in facing up and screwed it back in, it only worked for a while. now would that be the motor or something else. btw, all the wiring looks good.

Sounds like the shaft is seizing in the bearing or possibly the brushes are worn.

Either replace blower (NAPA has em for around $69). Will have to remove the squirrel cage from the old one and transfer to the new one. When I did mine I think I had to use crimp style spade terminals to make my electrical connections to the new one. If you want to try to revive the old one you could use electric contact cleaner on contact point for the brushes. Can also lube the upper shaft bearing by putting some light oil in gap between shaft and silver cap. I have a hunch on yours it's the lower bearing and getting to that not so easy.
