KYB GR2 versus Monroe Sensa Trac

Hi,

First post . . .

I know "Corolla" is misspelled in the nick -- thanks ergo keyboard . . .

My '92 DX auto - 260K hard NY Metro miles - needs new struts and springs.

Any thoughts on KYB GR2s versus Monroe Sensa Tracs?

Durability is the priority, followed by comfort -- especially on our "roads".

My thanks in advance!

Aloha and welcome. I off of personal exp would say both are good struts i've had monroe sensa's on my 2000 corolla with stock hight and felt the ride was quite good. I changed everything mounts and boots after the change there was less cabin noise IMO. Now the gr2's these I have exp in a 7th gen and they were drop on H&R springs the ride was quite sporty and handled well the ride was more noisy but i thinks that's from the 16" rims and low pro tires. I imagine the gr2's handle stock hight just as well if not better hope this helps

Monroes are more of an old comfy couch feeling than the GR2s which can actually handle sporty driving, so it's more your choice, if you're going to mod your car on a budget go with GR2s, if you just want new struts/shocks then get the Monroes.

BTW if you message or email the admins, they can fix your name tag.

good luck.
