Just picked up a sedan for $600

Hey everyone just picked up this sedan about two weeks ago for $600, been my daily driver ever since. 191,xxx miles. Needs a few little things like front brake pad rattle clip, and a headliner and a few other small things. Eventually it'll get HID lights and tint. I already put in a alpine ipod radio and 4 new speakers. Absolutely love this little car though great on gas! Tell me what you guys think...

Nice score for $600
Looks clean, tint would look good, did tint on my sedan for $300 (all windows besides windscreen).
I would get a gauge cluster from a LE sedan and that will give you a tachometer.

No rust anywhere? Great buy for $600. It'll last you a long while if you take care of it. And hey, a manual, good score there. I second the notion of getting a tach cluster, if only because it's a manual, helps with shifting. You can swap the speedometer/odometer from your cluster to the one with the tach if you decide to go that route.

Yeah, I just looked up some instrument clusters with the tach's. I'm heading to the junk yard tomorrow for some odds and ends, hopefully i get lucky and find one with the tach, any specific models they come out of? Also looking for a front sway bar.

And I think it will last a while, it runs very smooth and strong, like crap the ac still works perfect and has R12!Plus it has a new clutch, new brakes, just put in NGK platinum plugs, new cap and wires, changed oil, changed gear oil, new air filter, alot of new goodies.

The good clusters come out of the LE Corolla.
If you get the front sway bar you will also need the lower control arms.

Nice looking sedan! What are you going to do with the stereo and speakers you took out? Any interest in shipping them for a cheap price?

Also try to make sure you get a cluster out of a 4A-FE manual instead of an autotragic. I have an LE cluster, but it's from a 4A-F auto... there's no check engine light, and it has the overdrive light which I will never, ever use! Search around here for LE cluster tach, you should come up with the topics where I posted some pics of the back of the cluster.

Went to pick your part today and got a hold of a LE cluster and i did not check the transmission but this one does have a working check engine light, and no o/d i can see. Also got a new speedometer cable because mine was snapped and also got a new headliner. Also got a few odds and ends and fixed most of everything today. Ironically the cluster i got has 195,000 and my car has 191,000 so it seems close enough for me. All the gauges work perfect, just waiting for night to check the illumination.
