Question about swapping/changing seat belts

I have a 91 sedan and i absolutely hate these seat belts that go on the door and across the lap. i noticed on the b pillar panel it has an opening for maybe an older more normal style belt? any way i could collect these parts from a wrecking/junk yard and put in normal belts and drill the holes in the panals or get new panals? i tried searching and came up with nothing. Do people actually like these things? i deliver pizza and it really just screws up the whole flow of things to unclip both of them every time i get to the store, get to the house, because i cant get in and out with the pizza bag leaving the belt on. Maybe that was too much info, whatever, you get my situation, lol. Any info or help appreciated.

I notice its all US built models that have the belt attached at the door.

You can very well find plenty of the same corolla with the kind of belt you want in any junkyard. I dont think youll have to drill holes into the metal part of the b pillar, just the interior trim. But overall, easily done.

I had to drill holes in my Corolla because my B-pillar didn't have a nut for the 3 point seat belt, so I had to get the seat belt with the buckle and all the bolts to the body and some nuts to hold the belts in place, and I had to drill a hole at the top and two holes at the bottom right next to where the lap belt is supposed to be at. I had to use a magnet on a small plastic tube to hold the nut that would have to grab the bolt at the top of the B-pillar, which was a pain in the A** to get right.

The red X's are where I had to drill the holes into the body, the green check mark is the only hole that was already pre-drilled and tapped with a nut, and the red line is pretty much the route I took to installing the nut to hold the top of the seat belt.

Up close on the bottom of the B-pillar where I had to drill two holes, one for the actual bolt and one for a little flange that holds it in place. I'm very skeptical as to how it'll hold up in a crash but hopefully I don't manage to find that out.

Any ways with a drill and all the nuts and bolts it should only take about 2 hours to get done on both sides, I'm happy as hell that I don't have to deal with the automatic seat belt anymore.

Oh and I noticed that you live in Lake Hughes, I live in Palmdale so welcome to TN from a neighbor

My Japanese Built GTS has the belts attached to the door. But I have seen a GTS in the junk yard with the regular style belts also.

I think they changed in '90 and started making the weird new seat belts along with all the other changes...
