Strange Happenings With Cruise Control on '88 SR5 2-Dr Coupe
Hey guys, got a few questions about the cruise control on my car (1988 Corolla SR5 2-Door Coupe, FWD, 5-speed). First off, is there a light somewhere that will come on to let me know that the switch is functioning? Right now, nothing happens when I flick it from "Off" to "On", and it won't stay "set" for more than about 3 seconds. Sometimes it won't set at all. However, I can get it to make the car accelerate if I hold the switch it in the "Accel/Resume" position. I seem to have the most success with getting it to set (albeit for a short few seconds) if I push down on the gas pedal just prior to hitting the "Set" button. Any and all comments and advice are greatly appreciated!
