This is what I found online on a retrofit website:

You fill a system with 80-85% of the original R-12 Volume.

The sticker on my car shows original R12 specs of max charge 1.65 lb, min charge 1.43lb. Take 80-85% of that max rate (1.65) and you get 1.32-1.40 lb. I think I would go for that 1.40lb which is close to the min charge rate,

Got the AC up and running today, replaced the AC compressor and accumulator today and all the o rings, first off replacing the AC compressor is so damn easy wow. un bolt it, push it out the bottom take all the parts needed off it and drop the new one in from the top and there is like a holding spot for the compressor, its an EASY 1 man job. anyway, put 7 Oz of PAG 46 oil in the compressor spun it by hand a few times got it all lubed up, set the AC compressor clutch side down for about an hour to make sure the seal is lubed up, then put it in and pumped it down, it took aditional 3 oz of pag oil, and 2 12oz cans or R134a and its blowing nice and cold with a steady PSI of 55 in 110F weather. have not checked the vent temp yet
