Installing GTS gauges in an SR5

I have the gauge and its plug, I left a lot of wire on the plug before the cut. I know the sr5 has an oil pressure warning light and a battery warning light, so are the modules under the hood the same? Do I just splice an existing wire into my harness?

Also I swapped the sr5 cluster for the GTS one, kept my original speedo plate since the GTS speed was inaccurate. However the cluster says I am at operating temperature after only a few seconds of running, does the 4age run cooler than the 4afe? Is the cluster damaged?

When i put my friends GTS cluster in my old sr5 it was plug and play with tach and speedo. i tested the speed by coasting next to my bro at 60 on the free way distance didn't change. as for the oil pressure and volt you'd probably have to wire it in somehwere i have the wireing diagram if you need

I'm running a GT-S cluster in my SR5 and it works fine and seems pretty accurate.

I haven't installed the gauge yet. you do however need to replace the oil pressure sending unit with an analog one from the GT-S as opposed to the binary SR5 switch.

I would just try and find some wiring diagrams (the ones in the factory service manual are nice...). you can wire the door ajar light into the GT-S gauge cluster (because it has a light for it) and then the next is just stealing random stuff from the gauge cluster wires like back lighting signal.

I think he was talking about the Battery and Oil pressure gauges which the SR5s did not come with... I believe its possible but you'll probably need the sender units in the 4AGE motors.

the standard gauges just swap over (plug and play)

the voltage/oil pressure..... I think I tied the 12V into something back there and the oil pressure wire is already back there as well.

the biggest pain in the butt is getting the gauges themselves out.... ae92 coupe dashes are like a friggen puzzle
