Gen6 Removing clear coat

My '88 ae92 has the clearcoat peeling off and I would like to remove it without totally messing up the paint. Anyone have any suggestions on how to do so?

I am really not sure, but I don't think it can be done.
I think the best you can do is use a plastic scraper and remove the loose edges.
Other than that, a full sanding and repaint is the only way I can see taking care of that.

Only one way to do this. Prepare the surface by removing all wax, grease, detergent, etc using Prep-Sol or equivalent. Then, wet sand with 400 grit until all clear coat is removed and any loose base coat is removed. Prime any areas that were sanded to bare metal. Then, apply base coat, then apply clear coat. Any short cut will turn into a mess very quickly.
