Did you check brake light switch with an ohmmeter? If you disconnect electrical connector at switch do lights go off? Maybe the switch has gotten loose in it's mount keeping lights on.

If the switch did not get loose then the little rubber grommet in the brake pedal broke...you need to replace that grommet for it to make contact with the switch when you let go of the brake pedal.
