Couple of questions

I'm thinking of doing a timing belt maintenance change.

Do you all think this is a good deal?

I've done timing belts on 16v VW's before so I know that stuff but I've never replaced crank-cam seals before.
How difficult is it to remove them and do I need a press to get them back in?

seems like a good deal to me. The only thing I'd be concerned about is the quality of the parts. I don't recognize some of those brand names.

the seals are easy, you just push/hammer them gently in. the only tricky part would be getting the cam shaft pulley off and back on again, a belt wrench works well to hold it in place.

I've seen Bando, Misuboshi, Aisin, GMB and Koyo before as OEM or something. I'm sure it'll be fine.

Thanks for the replies.

I know that with some seals they can be a real PITA to get out and near impossible to get in without a press.

Guess I'll pull the trigger on that kit and do it over the next weekend.

You don't need a press for those seals. Just make sure you have the right replacements.
Drive a sharp screw into the seal and use a pair of pliers to pull them out. Never failed me thusfar.
