Ok so I've been having problems with my 4AF corolla.

I have since replaced the carb with an identical version, that fixed the rough idle, but now it blows lots of black smoke when starting and will lose RPM and then die.

I am selling it soon to go for efi but i can't sell it as is. I need to know where the fuel mixture screw is, as i can smell lots of fuel and have seen unburnt fuel come out of the exhaust. Pictures would be great.

If a reply could get too me very quickly because this is my only means of travel and i am working full time.

Hello,
You cannot adjust the air\fuel on the 4AF carb becuase they block off the mixture screw to prevent you from changing it. you can drill it out but i don't recommend it.

Possibly a bad AAP diaphram . If only occurs when starting cold a choke pulloff needing adjustment.
