Lowering Springs

I was wondering if there would be a problem with putting lowering springs on the struts i have on my corolla sr5 i have heard different stories that if you put lowering springs on stock struts ill blow the struts and should upgrade, and also that if i do it nothing will happen. i have monroe struts and there a year old will there be any problems?

it's doable... I had OEM struts with APEX springs for years on my 90GTS, never had problems and didn't blow. If you have Monroe's though, I've heard stories about those as well, either way as long as you're not tracking the car and beating on it a lot you should be ok.

I Had crap ass Gabriel's on mine with B&G springs. but before that I had cut springs, and they were still good! the only thing i could say to look out for the top strut mounts and the bump stops and what not, other than that im very sure you'll be good!
