cd player wireharness turns on car ignition when plugged in

picked up an aftermarket cd player wire harness, i test fit it and it turns on the car magicaly like the key is in the ignition but its not....

ghost car?

I think you said in your other topic that the key was broken inside the ignition... maybe that has to do with it? Kind of funny in any case. Load a CD into the player, and the car starts... amaze your friends...

Wow so I gotta remove the key and it will work then. Doesn't make sense cuz the keys off though not on

im thinking wiring issues.. just doesnt make sense, the ignition off is off position and while its off, you just need to simply plug in the harness and the accessorie lights are on.. im mind fucked right now..


edit: i am an idiot, what i thought was the radio harness was the hazard light plug... epic fail... its weird that the radio harness fits right into the hazard light switch... very weird that once pluged in the accessory lights come on...

also the yellow wire was not powering up, i connected the red and yellow wire coming from the cdplayer to the red wire and IT WORKS!!!

get a Walmart or Canadian tire harness adaptor, you're probably putting the wrong wires together.
