Hooking up GTS voltage/oil pressure gauge in silvertop sr5

Is there any way to do this? I have the gauge from a GTS along with the pigtail but it's cut. My sr5 has the door-ajar warning light and oil pressure warning light in place of the gauges. Are the sensors included in the silvertop already?

door yourself a favor and buy a manual with wiring diagrams.

I'm going to do that on mine when I get around to it... (I have the same exact setup).

the sender on a silvertop is the wrong one, it's for a warning light, so you'll need to get the GT-S sending unit.

also if you care, the GT-S gauge cluster has the door ajar light on it that you can wire that wire into.

the volt meter just runs off the 12V I think, it's easy. you also need to source an illum. wire to turn on the back light when you turn on your lights. you can also get that from the gauge cluster.

the oil pressure wire is the same for the switch (light) and the gauge.... just need to find the correct wire (on the engine-side it's yellow with a black wire... I *think* it's the same back there)

then just find a 12v signal.

Just to confirm the silvertop's wire for the binary on/off oil pressure warning light will make the ae92 gauge work if I hook it up? Then just tap a cluster wire for illumination? Looks like 2 conflicting posts here

the wire will work, but not the sender. you have a 4afe/20v type switch sender, you need a Gt-S type gauge sender. you need to replace the part that's bolted to the engine...

I see, thanks

Where is this module located on the ae92 4a-ge? Is it plug and play with the ae101 engine? I wonder why the 20v cars didn't have the cool gauge instead of some light

yeah, you just unscrew the 4age/AE101 sender and screw in the 4age ae92 one.

it's located right between where the power steering bracket bolts onto the 20v (not the same place as the 4afe) when you're looking at your engine it's on the same side as you and is to the left near the timing belt.
