I have a 91 corolla same old same old. I bled the brakes and I am going to assume the brake light switch is jammed or something because even with the car off, the brake lights will stay on. One must unplug the battery to turn them off. What can I do?

Duck down to the brake pedal and the switch is right there on the brake pedal. I had this happen to me once. For me, it was a rubber piece that came off the pedal lever so the button never stayed depressed to keep the brake lights from cutting off when I wasnt on the brakes...... my fix was using a button I got off my old JROTC jacket... and still there!

I found the switch but the brake pedal isn't pushing the switch in all the way.

there is an adjusting bolt on the brake switch that you loosen and that allows you to screw the brake switch further into the threads it sits in to adjust its release point, when you got it where you want it just tighten the blot back up and your good to go.
and it is easier to turn the brake switch with the plug leading to it dissconnected.
