Gen6 AE91 "4AFE" Sedan performance exhaust opinions

Ok, So i'm in the way of getting a new exhaust system for my car and been doing alot of reading/research and kinda need help on the deciding factor..

stock 1.6l 4afe exhaust is 1.75", correct?

my 4afe has i basic performace intake, and thats pretty much it. "i'm not going turbo, staying N/A"

i have a aftermarket 7afe header being shipped to me right now that has 1.5" runners and a 2" outlet "4-2-1 design", will i have any issues "loss in power/torque with these way lesser restrictive header?

Also i have brand new 2.5" oem catalytic converter on the way also. could it be too big?

i want 2.25" piping with no extra resonators, just pipe. issues is the sizing?

i also "i'm using also alot, lol" have a new 2.25" N1 muffler.

would a straight "no bends" design hurt me in the power with a 2.25" exhaust system?

would oem "bends" design be best with the 2.25" exhaust system?

would i need it increase the fuel delivery for the exhaust size? "aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, hi-flow fuel filter, larger injectors"?

Thanks in advance..

the header will be fine with those sizes. u should get good midrange from that. the size of the cat could be a hair bit too big if ur running 2.25 piping and a 2.5 cat but dont think it will matter much, hopefully its a high flow unit. the 2.25 is a good size if ur staying N/A these engines dont move enough aire for much bigger than that unless boosted. not sure but is the n1 muffler a straight through?? it it is good. it will make the car a bit louder than a (maze) type, i know not the right wording but i like it.'

oh yea the bends. u dont want oe bends!! they are usually crush bends so the pipe gets smaller at the bend and then expands again. u want mandrel bent pipe, it keeps the diameter the same at the bends. and run as lil bends as possible, air moves like muscle cars. fast and straight.

hope this helps any.

p.s. ur fuel should be fine. no need to change it. the ecu should be able to compensate for the slight increase in air flow.

wouldnt the 7afe headers be too long or something? i mean the engine stands a little taller? but on the exhaust piping id go with a 2.25 thats about enough for the N/A setup unless you are pushing major compression... but on the SOHC ive been thinking about instead of a motor swap, i was thinking about a smog legal super charger... i think a kompressor will work very well with the lack of low end power the need really needs...

the 7afe header sits 1.5" lower the the 4afe header. what sohc are you working on? our corolla's have sohc's??

and i'd thought about supercharging the 4afe with a sc12 supercharger... but too much fabbing, costwise.

sorry, i meant single cam gear motor.... lol they all have dual cams but one cam gear... lol yeah i have a 4afe, and i wasnt really looking into a sc12 or sc14 i was looking into a VW corrado super charger... it was a simple design that i can just attached to where the wind shield fluid goes... or somewhere... havent thought it through that far... i have seen a mercedes super charger on a sentra SeR and i thought it was pretty kool, but thought that where he mounted it was way to dangerous... but yea i guess 1.5 isnt that bad though... you didnt want to go with the 93+ 4afe headers?

nah, the cat is oem. i thought hi-flow woud be too much and i still wanted to stay legal somewhat.

the N1 is straight thru.

what's a maze type? lol

i was going to get mandrel bends but running oem design. don't know if it'd effect rpm's..

i didn't know the 4afe had it's own aftermarket header's in general..

but the supercharging, i design a whole entire system "i'll find the picture for you later" its really just alot the comes with it.

yeah i believe the 93+ corolla 1.6l was a second generation 4afe... minor changes, but i hear it it alot better than ours in the 6th gen... but i read somewhere that you can use the headers from the 4afe 2nd gen but the o2 will be a little tricky to install, as of the 7afe headers as well, because something to do with bolt on o2 and screw on...

Yeah it was the start of the second gen 4afe..

well as i reserch, 7afe header's o2 sensor outlet is no problem to bot with the 4afe 02 sensor.

hrm really now? didnt know that... but on the 1.5" longer, are you going to run it like that or get it chopped and re wielded?

well its 1.5" taller than 4afe header, not really longer. but it may be longer but since the whole entire exhaust system is being redone from header to muffler i'm not going to stress on the length in general. but when i lower the ride height of my car i'm going to have to be real careful. still might drop the car its 2" lol... thats another story.
