Valve Shims - new vs original

I got two new valve shims for the 4AFE in my '90 Corolla. I notice that the original shims have a mirror-like finish. The new shims (Toyota Parts 13753-16521, 13753-16621) have a smooth finish but it isn't shiny and mirror-like. Will the new shims wear to be like the old ones? - and on both sides?

Maybe they will, maybe they wont, maybe the new valve shims have some sort of coating on them to reduce wear...

I think they will, but maybe not on both sides.
They do rotate in the buckets, so they might shine up on both sides.
