Broken 12v coil wire

A couple years back, the 12v coil wire broke flush against its plastic wire harness connector that plugs into the coil. I check all the local wrecking yards but MR2's, GTS's and GSi's are all but extinct around here. Toyota dealer suggested I buy a new complete harness to get the one connector I need. Riiiight. The parts stores just laughed when I asked them.

I ended up dissecting the plastic connector to get the metal pin connectors out, soldered them back on the wire, heat-shrinked each one and gooped hi-temp RTV silicon over the location that the two connectors plug into the coil to keep moisture out. Problem is that it is a temporary fix only lasts a year before it fails. And it never picks a good time to break. This morning at 5:15 I was conducting repairs in the dark while raining with semi's flying by at 70mph, a foot away. It's time to come up with a better solution. Does anyone know a source for this connector or have a better idea for a longer lasting fix? Btw, as most here know, this is an 88-92 small port/7 rib 4age, not the 4afe. Thanks in advance.

I know that same connector can be found on vehicles like the camry and lexus models with the V8 all from the 90s. When you check the be sure to look at all the toyotas for that connector. There may by more than what I've seen.

The camry is the early to mid 90s model, and the coil is located on or near the driver side strut tower. I don't remember if it was the v6 or 4cyl model or both that had it there.

The lexus V8 coil is located on the engine somewhat in the front. I think it was more on the right side on top.

If I'm ever in the JY I'll try to remember to snip one off for you.
