When I did it, I used the brake booster line. Warm up engine. Pour a small amount like 3-4oz in a cup and pull the vac line and then stick it in the cup of seafoam until engine dies. Wait like 15 -30 min and then start up and run the car hard. There will be smoke like there's no tomorrow and people behind you will hate you.

Honestly though, I really dont see what the whole point of that is. Its not like modern gasolines dont have detergents in them, I've yet to see a car that is in such bad condition inside that it actually needs this kind of "treatment" and I've seen alot from ranging from abandoned cars that have sit in a shed for ages to some really badly treated ones.

the last car I did that on burned a valve and was running ok before.
I advise not using any vacuum port & not doing what you discussed.
not much to gain and alot to lose.

It can hydrolock the engine and ruin it in a hurry. It can cause shock for hot metal parts and make them more brittle. I've never seen any benefit. A fuel injection cleaning is a better method.
