USA Window washer hose issue

Hi guys, I have a 91' corolla (well, its a geo prizm but i heard that they're basically the same). So, I notice that my window washer isn't working and I pop open the hood. Looks like there's no hose connected to the window washer reservoir. Now, i'm not a huge expert on cars, but I'm almost positive that I've located the hose.. it's right next to the window washer resevoir and it goes into the side of the car... but theres only 1 problem--it doesn't quite reach the tank... and yet there doesn't seem to be another hose any closer. This hose kind-of reaches the tank, yet its only through stretching it too far, and no seal is made because the hose is too stretch..

Any help would be greatly appreciated.. do i have the wrong hose? Is the hose stuck? So it's winter time and I don't have window washer so please help asap. Thanks!

Did the washers work before? Maybe the hose material deteriorated and broke off a piece, or shrank and pulled away from the reservoir. You should be able to get a replacement hose (auto parts store?) and cut it to the proper length. Not sure how hard it will be to access the hose, though.

I recently added vinegar to my washer tank to descale the hoses, nozzles, etc. The washer nozzles cleared up pretty damn well, but I'm not sure how safe it is to have (or leave) vinegar in the washer system.

Now that you mention it, I don't recall the window washers ever working before.. i bought it this past summer and never really missed em till now.. i assumed it just needed more washer fluid, but i noticed as i poured it in, it started pouring out cuz it wasn't connected to any hose! It doesn't look deteriorated or broken in any way.. perhaps it shrank..

I looked at mine and the hose that connects to pump on windshield washer container goes through fender and then exits through another hole on strut tower to connects to nozzles. You need to replace that run of hose. Might be able to cheat and disconnect hose at pump and run a length of new hose directly to nozzles bypassing the old setup. You might need a plastic fitting to join the old to the new hose. Otherwise will have to work on the underside of the fender to route a new hose. Make sure the pump motor works or you won't gain anything. Should hear it when you activate the washer button .
