I want to do this but automatic into Corolla... this way I have the best of both worlds... an automatic car the wife can drive once a while and not bother me, and a decent/fast daily driver I can drive when the Supra is put away, lol.

While that works well in theory, in reality the tall gear ratios on the automatic transmission will pretty much negate any gains had from the swap. The 2ZZ-GE needs the 6-speed manual for optimal acceleration. Even then it's still hard to stay in lift between shifts without the installation of a Power FC or similar to raise the rev limiter and lower the lift engagement point. If you want a fast automatic your only option is going the 3S-GTE route but even then there is still the question of whether the transmission is strong enough to handle the increased power levels if you want to up the boost.

it is quick and well if your gonna go automatic the 1zzfe makes torqe sooner then the 2zzge unless you have tuning software to change the transmissions shift points. I think putting a cammed 2zzge in a AE9X toyota with the C60 6 speed would make a fun track car
