Measuring resistance of ignition coils on a 4AFE

The "on-car" check of the ignition system in the Toyota Service manual for the 1990 Corolla 4AFE shows a step that says to measure the resistances of the primary and secondary ignition coils. It doesn't show a picture of how to do this. The picture for the 4AGE engine appears to show it done on a distributor after the cap, rotor, and "dust cover" over the coils have been removed. The dust cover on the 4AFE distributor has the words "Do Not Remove" embossed on it.

What is the proper way to measure the resistance of the ignition coils?

Yea, you'll have to remove the cover that says to not remove. Silly huh. Disconnect all the wires from the coil and measure the resistance on the two posts, that's the primary side. Then measure the secondary side on one of the posts and the contact metal on the coil where the carbon button on the cap touches. Sorry I don't remember which post to touch when measuring the secondary side.
