buy your MS from DIYAutotune.com ...... building the unit it pretty straight forward.....
I personally like the relay boards.... make life much easier IMHO
when you're ready to start getting things going & all of the wiring is done... find your way back to DIYAutotune and download the full package & Megatune firmware/software setup... it's free....
I've always had communication problems between MS, Megatune, and the computer.... that is, until I got the package from DIY....
there's a lot of guys running 4age's, 4agze's, and 4agte's on MS..... not as many on the gze.... but meh. If you're good with electronics and understand EFI... you can figure it all out.... plus there are TONS of screen shots of people's setups (maps, etc) that do work and many that have even been dynotuned
I tend to not give out my maps for my gze for a couple reasons....
1) it's on very old archaic 6x6 maps
2) it was never dyontuned and as such with the s/c on gets HORRIBLE gas mileage
MS1 v3.0 board is a bit more "rugged" (in my opinion) and leaves less chance for bad things to happen..... it also has more ability for outputs
MS1 v2.2 board is a bit easier to configure and can take the same tuning software & firmware as v3.0 board
MS2 is just a "daughter board" that replaces the large (32 or 48 pin? I don't remember) chip used in MS1
