So, where to start? For the FIRST time ever, I forgot to grab my faceplate before heading into work in downtown Denver- and this is what I came back to. This Ass Clown smashed my window, mucked up my dash, took stereo/useless remote/faceplate case AND CUT ALL (Ipod connector too) my damn wires when it would have been FASTER to just unclip the harnesses
Thankfully, he did not damage the piece that holds the clock as i just replaced that, although if someone know where to find a cheap hookup on that guy on my seat (with the vents) I am all ears. Also- anyone know where to find a simple wiring diagram of sorts so I can verify everything as I try to sort out the wiring??
I could bluster all day but someone really needs to get kicked in the nuts/head/somewhere for fucking with my car.
I still remember the stick death security systems, they should be legal. burns their legs, drowns them, releases animals lol, Electricutes them, i think one had a punching bag come out of the horn button lol
Go to the junkyard, cut all of the connectors you need off of the junkyard car, leaving at least an inch or two of wire so you have enough to splice, and then splice them into the harness in your car using the colors....black to black, red to red, green to green etc....

Yeah I had been pondering something like that. But that is probably the best idea for this situation, esp since I will probably be stuck with my factory radio for awhile. Having trouble finding a junkyard with a 9th gen corolla to scavenge from.

Similar to the security system in Robocop 2? where it frys the guy and ejects his corpse? I like it. i was thinking maybe wire a capacitor to the door handle- put a small metal strip on the underside.
But seriously that 3m security film would be amusing to frustrate a would be window smasher with.
What part of DENVER was it? Federal, Colfax, Santa Fe....
I figure your deck/stereo wasn't stock, right? My sister got her Corolla broken into awhile back as well! The funny thing is that her Corolla was park next to a Lexus and a Jaguar!
The worst thing was that the Cops couldn't do CRAP! It's wasn't even worth reporting to the Insurance as well..........KNOW YOUR INSURANCE COVERAGE!!!!

Parking lot at 20th and Arapahoe, funny thing is that I usually park in a shadier lot further down Arapahoe. Of course this happened the first time I forgot my faceplace- I had a pioneer deck so I could hook up my iPod, not super expensive and a street value of less than $50 I bet.
The cops are a joke. "Sir I can give you a web address to file a report..." Yeah, let me jot that down with my handy sharpie-maybe on my trunk. I understand you cant go all CSI on every car that has a stereo broken, but come on, not even a phone report of some kind? I am not even reporting this to insurance because it would be hardly more than my deductible and a black mark against me.

for speaking the truth. I think this kind of treatment is universal no matter where you are.
That sucks to see dude I would seriously consider investing in an alarm now
yeah well you have any idea how many radios are stolen daily... ALOT... they dont have the resources to try to track them down.
True enough, there is even a push to try and up the sales tax to better fund departments (Fort Collins rather than Denver) and the public wont pass it. I do realize that the police just cant handle every stereo that gets stolen BUT dont institute a useless web reporting tool that no one looks at and then go on and on about how Denver and Colorado has a falling petty crime rate. I am not going to use a tool that no one has confidence in. At least if you take some details via phone one could track trends and see whats going on. But thats just me and I could be wrong.
