I read the first post from that link. i think that its awesome hes mad. so i stay off the pedal when the light is turning red, n hes going 45 in the back of me. thats what ive always wanted to piss people off, cuz i know when im off the pedal im getting 25 mpg while hes going 45 and getting less than 10 mpg to a red light
god ppl bitch about anything... i cant believe they think its only rolla drivers... as 4 the bloke with the mustang, ive seen plenty of sh*t driving done by ppl with a ford v8 under their hood.... haha and as 4 going slow around corners.... none of my rolla driving mates do that.... except if they're wheelspinning lol. but yes, i too love to piss off large car drivers... especially when i know that they need 2 visit the petrol station twice as often as me... see, we can afford 2 drive slowly, as we dnt need 2 visit the petrol station everytime we drive our cars lol.

i say the same thing all the time. but then there are just plain old slow people that dont even go the speed limit, that is what really gets me.
I know what you mean. I drive the speed limit and sometimes over a bit and I constantly still get assholes who tailgate me trying to pass. WTF?! I understand if I'm going 30 in a 45 zone but when I'm going 55 in a 45 and some jerk in a BMW is 2 inches away from my bumper, that's just retarded. I've had to on more than one occasion stab at my brakes to scare the living feces out of the tailgater. The second I do that, they back off 3-4 car lengths and never try to get close to me. I think they're scared I might road rage on their ass.

so according to George im a maniac. But its not like i go like 20 over, i just go 5 over all the time or depending where i am. My speedo is off by 2 MPH . I know what you mean, i swear i was going about 80 on the highway (the speed limit is 70) and there was a damn BMW on my ass, and it didnt help it was rainning. I swear the next person who rides my ass im give them the bird or hit the brakes like you said. Thats a good idea too BTW

The second you hit the brakes, they will give you your space back real fast. And if they don't, they'll hit you and it's their fault for tailgating and not driving at a safe distance. We can always use some money for another car.

Obviously these people haven't run into some of us nuttier Corolla pilots....
Best method for dealing with tailgaters that I've found is pull over, let them pass, let them get a respectful distance ahead (say 10-20 car lengths), then pull out and follow at their speed (sticking that same fixed distance behind, no matter what) until you either run out of speed, they get pulled over, or they get unnerved and slow down. Not a whole lot of people will have the stones to actually do what it takes to outrun a Corolla (even more or less stock) on the highway...and should they start treating it as a friendly game of high-speed convoy, trading off the lead every few miles and so forth, then you have a surefire recipe for making the time on the road just fly by in a most pleasant fashion.

What made me very angry was the morons in small cars and bikes that would try to race you to the next red light and jump into the lane in front of you just before you get to the light. I had to work hard to keep from smashing their little POS under my Van. They knew they would stop in front of you at the red light, and knew you had to slam you brakes on to keep from driving over the stupid F$$rs. People are really F%%$ stupid on the roads and have no respect for anyone else. Best place I drove for several Years weas Germany. Worse place is California. Keep in mind I have been to South America, Canada, Mexico, and probably other places I forgot.
I didn't even get tot he tail gaters. A friend of mine who retired from the CHP told me that the vast majority of accidents are from tailgators. They just follow to close and are too stupid to see they have no room to slow down and stop.
