Not in Calgary. Almost no car ever rusts here since salt use is minimal. Rock chips are used instead, which do result in rock chips on the paint, though.

For all those in winter climates..it is 72 degrees right now. Spent half the day doing suspension on my car, fully done. Had to get new bumpstops.

Is that still true? - I thought the manufacturers had pretty much solved the rust problem now.

But if it is still true in most of the Country - it's definitely not a problem here on the wet coast

Toyota claims that they use corrosion resistant metals, but yet, my car's starting to develop a few specks of rust here and there.

It hardly ever snows in Vancouver, here in Toronto, they excessively salt the roads. Even if there is only a little snow on the ground.

Well rj86, i did not find any point which can help me to believe that Toyota uses special corrosive materials to safeguard our car from rust .In fact my past experience shows that Toyota car are more vulnerable to rust if you did not take protection properly. Hence such lies should not add to the good reputations of the company.
