Wow, I just found this site. Had never heard of it previously. I am a Toyota Corolla enthusiest and have been working on my 2001 Toyota Corolla S for many years off and on (I will never part ways with it). I also have a Tacoma and a Lexus RX 300 so I can keep my car strictly a project. I live in Duvall, WA and I am a Software Developer by trade. I look forward to participating in this forum moving forward since most other Corolla forums seem to be slowing down. My car is on it's 2nd engine sine the first one blew do to trial and error with a custom turbo system But the 2nd engine is in and work is underway to get the car back on the road again!

And that's a nice keepsake made from a fubared con rod out of that blown engine. Where and how did you get that made?

I cut 5 peices of 1/4" steel and welded up a box and then grinded it all down smooth. Then I spot welded the connecting rod in place ballanced over the box and sprayed it down with some laquer to keep it all from rusting. Then I took it to a trophy shop in town and asked them to put a plate on it which costed about $12. It was way worth it to preserve my keepsake
